Zagreb Everywhere (2001) is a synthesis of spoken word, audio verité, music and multi-layered video, presenting an unorthodox evocation of the city of Zagreb, Coratia. Writer Gordana P. Crnković (Croatia) reads her short evocative texts of various genres: overheard dialogues, anecdotes, jokes, fantastic tales, impressions, and reflections. Composer David Hahn (USA) collected ambient sounds in Zagreb and together with his original music provides the soundtrack for the piece. With only homemade still photographs of the city, video artist Victor Ingrassia (US) creates a lush and poignant visual world. A magical landscape of impressionistic beauty, Zagreb Everywhere provides a creative impression of the city and its unique features, while at the same time, hinting at the strange experiences there, displays a broadly human appeal and resonance.
